SPEAKER_00:We are. We enjoy that. And thanks for all the ideas and things like that, things that you'd like to hear about. So we're looking forward to doing more stuff. episodes about everything that they want to know.
SPEAKER_02:Exactly right. So today's episode, we're going to be talking about spirit guides. Nice. Spirit guides. Now, people get confused sometimes about spirit guides and what is a spirit guide, their relatives, you know, helping them out or their angels. And you realize they're each, each one's different, actually.
SPEAKER_00:Who the heck are these guides telling me what to do? Who are they? Somebody's got to keep
SPEAKER_02:you straight. Well,
SPEAKER_00:then it would take a lot, a lot of spirit guides, believe
SPEAKER_02:And you know you have them. So, well, what a spirit guide is, it's someone basically who has been a part of your life. You can have a main guide who's been with you your entire life, or then there's other guides who will come and help you through certain situations you may be experiencing.
SPEAKER_00:Right. It's a multitude. People, when they think of spirit guides and... When we first started to delve into all this, what the heck is a spirit guide?
SPEAKER_02:I mean, come on. I said, okay, then we have to learn to meditate and all this stuff. Again, we weren't into any of this
SPEAKER_00:at all. No, and then what? You got to connect with a spirit
SPEAKER_02:guide? Come on. Because when we give readings and such or do demonstrations and all, some people will say, oh, what's a spirit guide? We had the exact same question. What in the world is a spirit guide?
SPEAKER_00:Right, and why do we have to connect. It seemed like work. Let's not do too much of that.
SPEAKER_02:It's a lot of work for them, that's for sure, depending on the people they're guiding. I know our guides work for us, that's for sure.
SPEAKER_00:My guides have to be saints, believe me. Which is another thing, too.
SPEAKER_02:There are different kinds of guides, right, Kathy?
SPEAKER_00:There's many different types of guides. Some of them are, like you said before, family members. I'm not talking about family members that maybe you knew your grandmother or whatever. It can be ancestral. It can be somebody who's in your linear family and yet they're attached to you and they want to help you through your journey.
SPEAKER_02:Now that is interesting that you think about how you can have like a, I guess like it could be whether it's a great-great-great-great-great grandfather or grandmother or you know,
SPEAKER_00:I mean, think about it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Whatever relationship that would be. And it would be interesting because what I've done in past readings, just to tag on to this, is how when I do connect, you know, I do spirit guide readings too for people. And that's kind of funny because, again, people like... Or is it a main guide? Or is it going to be different types of guides? Again, when I do a reading for a person, it's going to be up to which guide.
SPEAKER_01:Well,
SPEAKER_02:usually when I connect with a loved one in spirit, I'm going to get the exact loved one in spirit that a person wants. That's the way I work. But when it comes to a guide, I kind of open myself up to any and all guides that want to come in and make that connection. But it's interesting because, Kathy, sometimes, as you know, they'll talk about the person I'm giving a reading to, but how... that person will have a shared trait.
SPEAKER_00:I was thinking about that. Yeah. Yeah. Because, and it can be, if you think about like somebody could say, Oh, your great great grandmother used to like to do this. Right. And you just brush it off, but then maybe, maybe DNA, but it also may be because they're attached to you and spiritually. Right. And they're trying to help you through this.
SPEAKER_02:And so people are sometimes kind of amazed when I do connect with an ancestral guide, how they're, have more in common with them than they realize.
SPEAKER_00:Right, and if they really think about it, it's because they are connected. And the reason they're connected is because they have this strong bond that their journey somehow may be the same.
SPEAKER_01:And a lot of times, Patrick, I wonder when you do Spirit Guide,
SPEAKER_00:readings, do they want to speak to one guide, but yet another one shows up because that's who they need to hear from at that time?
SPEAKER_02:Exactly. Because again, it could be like, so you have a main guide who will be a part of your entire life, but if someone's going through, let's say some health issues or they're starting a new business or whatever, like a major events taking place, another guy can step in because they're experts in at whatever is taking place with this person and so they'll come in whether giving advice or you know tell them yes do this no don't do that uh because they do do that they do tell you yes no right wrong like i said and again i'm able to relay the messages but a person can get that message themselves with like we said with that intuition or that feeling right the yes, no, right, wrong.
SPEAKER_00:Right. So they have to really kind of just go with the flow because once again, they know best. Right. I have learned that we don't, they do it on their time because they know
SPEAKER_02:best.
SPEAKER_00:They see the bigger picture.
SPEAKER_02:A lot of people, again, when we say about giving into that gut instinct also is when I'm giving this messages from a spirit guide, it's almost in a sense, sometimes just confirming what a person already has been feeling or inside knowing. And that's a good confirmation for them that they too are actually connecting with the spirit guide.
SPEAKER_00:I think that's what's really great. It's so awesome when you're doing these spirit guide readings for people because we get such feedback because people, they've had the feeling of something and you're confirming it. Like when we first started, I had to meditate and connect with my main guide. And you wouldn't tell me anything. No, no,
SPEAKER_02:no, no, no.
SPEAKER_00:I tried to cheat and I tried to get past it. The
SPEAKER_02:reason I did that, again, is something I had to do. I had to meditate. I had to eventually come across my spirit God, which came through knock on wood, very strongly and started guiding me in how to make a strong connection with spirits. Again, the whole thing started, I would connect with just random spirits and sporadically, but I wanted to learn to take control of being able to do it. And so through meditation, this was one way to, again, learn to open myself up into the process of connecting and communicating with spirit. He was actually one of the first ones to come to me In order to help guide me, quote unquote, to be able to...
SPEAKER_00:Take control of the gift. That's what I say. They know.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, so back to you. I was saying that I had to do it. I had to learn my guide. So that's why, okay, when it came to you doing it.
SPEAKER_00:Right. You wouldn't tell me anything. Not
SPEAKER_02:until you started to meditate. So I had to do it. It's an incentive. Oh, I had to do it. That's the funny thing is a lot of people, we're talking about meditating because I was
SPEAKER_00:the same way. But Patrick, you forget. What? You forget you bought me this beautiful journal with blank pages and it was beautiful leather. It was engraved leather and you handed that to me and I said, this is pretty. What is this for? And you said, that's so when you do your meditations, you can write your notes. And I said, ah.
SPEAKER_02:I remember finding that too. I said, this is absolutely perfect.
SPEAKER_00:So what did I do though? I started
SPEAKER_02:to do it. I
SPEAKER_00:started to do it and connected with my main guide and got information, told you what he looked like, told you different things about him, his name and things like that. But I was lucky enough to have you there to confirm it. And that's what's awesome about people who get Spirit Guide readings because we get so much feedback because whether they've tried to do it a long time or a little time and they've just started to get into it, they have a confirmation that they're on the right road. And that makes meditation easier when you know that this is what's going on.
SPEAKER_02:Again, it gives you that confirmation and that feeling really of excitement like, oh, I am connecting. I'm able to do this too. Whether, again, through visuals, through feelings, through audio, however you're communicating with your guide or loved ones in spirit. But again, we're talking about it. Guides, keep in mind your loved one's spirit, the communication is very similar, of course. But as far as guides are concerned, you'll be able to tell the difference between whether you have a male guide, a female guide, the main guide, all these different things by learning to meditate.
SPEAKER_00:And to just put in the work. But that's what's rewarding when you do these awesome spirit guide readings.
SPEAKER_02:Yes, and keep in mind, a lot of people love to connect with their loved one, for us to connect with their loved ones in spirit, but a lot of people don't. just love to connect with their guides as well because they find it interesting. They want to confirm what they're receiving and they obviously also want guidance to What direction in life to go to. That's the whole point of a guide, too, to help direct you to the right path in life.
SPEAKER_00:Well, of course. And there's the family members that are guides. And then there's also the higher spiritual being guides.
SPEAKER_02:Right. Now, this is someone who would not be connected with you in any way or, you know, as far as, let's say, a relative.
SPEAKER_00:Right. They're teachers or people like that. You know, enlightened souls who have passed. And you would think they just want to rest on their laurels. But they do not. They want
SPEAKER_02:to help. Who are they? That's
SPEAKER_00:what I want to know. They are so enlightened. And God knows we need the help. But they stick with you. Especially your main guide is with you your whole life. And then he or she would let other guides in.
SPEAKER_01:Right.
SPEAKER_00:But he's with you the whole time. Or he or she. He or she.
SPEAKER_01:Right.
SPEAKER_00:And my main guide is a he, so that's why I say he.
SPEAKER_01:Right.
SPEAKER_00:But he... I thank him all the time. And I thank him for letting other people in and accepting the knowledge that he imparts. Because it's important. It is important. It really helps you on your journey. And so many people want to thank their loved ones in spirit. And they are there to guide you. But spirit guides are there because they have a speciality for the most part. The other ones that are not your main guide.
SPEAKER_02:Right. And keep in mind, guides too, again, have lived on this earthly plane. So they've experienced this life as well compared to angels, things like that. Right. That's a whole different story. different, you know, being, if you will, who, well, they experience it in different ways. But the whole point is with a spirit guide, in a sense, They know what you've gone through because they've done it themselves. Actually, keep in mind, they've lived this life in this physical life. Well, that's the whole point about a guide, too. It's the wisdom that they have. You don't want just anyone guiding you, right? Right.
SPEAKER_00:And they get something out of it. Yes, they do get something out of it. It's because they enrich their souls because they're helping.
SPEAKER_02:Because it's done with love. In a sense, you've got to remember, everything in spirit is done with love. And love is what, in a sense, the soul... It's the lifeline. blood the energy of our soul
SPEAKER_00:love and some and i think my god just loves a good challenge
SPEAKER_02:so that's a guarantee
SPEAKER_00:good on him
SPEAKER_02:oh i feel like a guide sometimes too
SPEAKER_00:now that's a whole different story the people also can dream about different guides
SPEAKER_02:well yeah just like a loved one a guy can come in through a dream and again we'll go into this in another time when we talk about meditation but again keep in mind when it's a dream slash it's a visit well i say it's a visitation It's when a God will connect through you. But they'll also give you intertwined messages through actually a dream. And that's why, again, a lot of people interpret things and try to interpret a dream and what it means. A lot of times a God will filter a message through a dream. in order for you to kind of ponder and think about it and give a feeling and through their wisdom of what direction to go to.
SPEAKER_00:And that's why I say, once again, you're, you're so nice to not only for me to have around, but for people to be able to utilize, because then you help decipher what, what the guide wants to say. And during a spirit guide session, you will let them know that if they're on the right course and things
SPEAKER_02:like that. That's true. But you know, that's when a spirit guide is, you know, kind of basically talking or telling me or guiding me through the the uh message but if somebody came up to me and as from a spirit god i had a dream about you know a dog going through a hoop and you know all of a sudden it was purple and then all of a sudden it turned into a blossom of a bunch of mushrooms and i'm saying you know i wouldn't i would not know what that means so yes that's a that's a whole nother field about people you know interpreting dreams and things like that no
SPEAKER_00:that's yeah we'll get into that another time but talking about how like i did journaling is is a great way to keep track of what you're getting from spirit guides to literally write down because not only you're writing down what you're feeling but it's almost like automatic writing which we also say that does you can do with spirit communication
SPEAKER_02:right
SPEAKER_00:is you may be writing down their thoughts as well
SPEAKER_02:and people will also ask well how can i tell the difference if a message is coming through from a guide compared to a loved one in spirit who is helping you keep in mind Mom, dad, sister, brother, grandparents, whoever, you know, a spouse who's ever in spirit, they're definitely guiding you as well. They tend to keep in mind, they also, especially if it's like a husband or a wife or a parent, depending on the age of the child and things like that, they will kind of take lead on that. guiding a person of course because you know they have that strong bond that relationship and all so they'll be guided don't don't get us wrong you know your loved ones guide you every single day too but it's the the main guide or spirit guides they come like say they filter through when they need to again adjust something or kind of help your loved ones in spirit all of you it's like a spirit team really guiding
SPEAKER_00:you in a certain direction. For the most part, especially not your main guide, but other guides are just periodically with you when you need it. Say a doctor needs to know something. A doctor who's been on this earth before may impart some knowledge that he needs to push him through to get to what he's trying to answer. So there could be doctors, it could be artists, I think, or you have spirit guides that help guide them to different things. I one time saw an artist who could paint different pictures from different styles. And I just said, I said that different guides are really working through them because it was, yeah. So spirit guides can be amazing things, but your loved ones in spirit are always at the forefront.
SPEAKER_02:Right, and now- Let's say you're living life and just things aren't going your way or something's wrong. or something happens bad and you don't ever think, well, oh no, I must not be listening to my guides because, you know, I'm in this predicament. That's okay. Because a lot of times you got to remember, we learn from the negative things that take place. So, you know, everybody has negative things that take place in life. You know, you're going to, you know, we all have our hurdles we jump over. And it's the right hurdles that we need to jump over. That's what life's about. So when, you know, something like say negative, you're going through a bad time. Don't ever think though, like, oh, my guide's not helping me or I'm not listening to them or I'm not paying attention to them. That's not the case at all. It's because these are the hurdles you need to go over. And it's one, it's something you need to learn from this hurdle that you may be experiencing. But two, it's also giving people an opportunity to learn from what you're going through.
SPEAKER_00:I kind of think sometimes it's like a, almost like a grandmother who's watching a child and the child wants to stick its finger in the, in the, the light socket. Done that. And, and the, of course the grandmother is standing there and go, go ahead. Because you'll only do it once. I remember doing
SPEAKER_02:a fork one time. You're right. I remember, that's all it took.
SPEAKER_00:Not that, that nobody should ever do that, but. No,
SPEAKER_02:no. Actually it was just last week I did it, but you know, I was bored. Just kidding. But,
SPEAKER_00:but because it's, I, I always kind of feel that God is like that. And just like you're talking about, you know, we have to make our mistakes because you learn from the mistakes. Right. So they lovingly, you know, are watching over us just like our loved ones in spirit. And we have to make our own mistakes on this journey. Otherwise, we don't
SPEAKER_02:learn. And
SPEAKER_00:we don't teach.
SPEAKER_02:We compare it to like a child learning to walk. The parent knows that, you know, it starts to stand. The child stands up and takes a couple of steps and falls down. And as a parent, as you say, you know, Kathy, that they're going to sit there and like, okay, let me help you back up. You know, it hurts and you may be crying, but it's okay. Because you got to develop your muscles. And then all of a sudden, you're walking. That's how a guide looks. And the loved ones in spirit too, but a guide... looks at us when you're jumping a hurdle because they know what the end result's going to be. And it is going to be for a positive.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, it is. And people can simply just ask out loud, you know, to talk to their guides and whether it's during a meditation, see what you're getting from them.
SPEAKER_02:That's right. That wrap around to what we were talking about is how can you tell the difference? And what you just said, Kathy, is whether it's through meditation or a particular day You may say, okay, I just want to really connect with my guide today, or I just want to connect with a loved one in spirit today. Be very specific with who you want to connect with because on the most part, they're going to do that for you. It gives them a chance to, you take the driver's wheel and you, you know, take control over who you want to try to connect with that way because they know you are trying to attempt to have a recognition of, who's doing what for you.
SPEAKER_00:And it just enhances your journey here. It's going to help you decipher between loved ones and spirit and your other help that you have, whether it be angels or spirit guides or things like that.
SPEAKER_02:And keep in mind that a lot of people also ask, once they connect with a guide and get to know them and so forth, or those who never connect with their guides, will they know them in spirit once you pass in the spirit? And the answer is absolutely you do because you got to remember once you pass in the spirit, again, it's kind of like going home and you, there's a recognition with, you know, those in spirit who are there with you and who's been a part of your life. So there's never a thought of, Oh, who are you? Oh, you've been my guide. Oh, thanks. Oh, that's who you, but no, you, Hey, okay. Thank you so much. That sort of thing. It's not what really takes place because
SPEAKER_00:mine's going to go like this and go, Oh, Okay, boy. That took
SPEAKER_02:long enough.
SPEAKER_00:Barely made that one.
SPEAKER_02:That's my last trip as a guide, this person is saying.
SPEAKER_00:I think I'll take a century off.
SPEAKER_02:Kathy, you wore me out. That's what they say.
SPEAKER_00:And you know what? That's what a guide needs to do is they have to work too. So I feel like I'm doing them a favor as well. So they are so
SPEAKER_02:welcome. You are doing everyone a favor. That's a guarantee. You do me a favor. All the time. Let's just say that.
SPEAKER_00:So spirit guides, they're there for you?
SPEAKER_02:They are. And they love you. They love you. You talk to them. Again, they are just people. Keep that in mind. Right. And again, it can be from different cultures and it can be just different, like say their way of life of how they live. It can be just anybody, anyone. But the fascinating thing is to try to find out who your spirit guide is.
SPEAKER_00:Right. So if anybody's out there and wants to do a little meditation or just journey, Let us know. Let us know who they are and what you found out.

SPEAKER_02:That comes from Eli. Hi, Eli. Summoning
SPEAKER_00:a spirit. Well, people think when you're doing a reading, you summon the spirits.
SPEAKER_02:Right. No, I do not call upon them and pull them from where they are to connect with me to talk to that person because that loved one is always with you. They're part of your life. They see you every day and they're helping you just like we're talking about, just like the spirit guide. So I'm not actually like... pulling them and like, come spirit, come to me. I'm calling to you and come, I demand you.
SPEAKER_00:They'd say, what are you doing? I'm right here with my loved one.
UNKNOWN:What are you doing?
SPEAKER_02:No. Let's get the show on the road and contact my loved one. There is no such thing as, I don't do that. No, you can't do that. Because like I say, one, a spirit's not going to come unless they want to come. And two, like I say, on the most part, especially when somebody's getting a reading and things like that, the spirit is just as excited to be connected with that or through me to that person to give messages. But again, they're living life with this person anyway
SPEAKER_00:right they're with
SPEAKER_02:them so to answer your question eli no i don't like i don't pull a spirit from anywhere they're like say they they come because they want to come but more than likely they're already there does that make sense kathy
SPEAKER_00:it makes sense and that's actually a good way to stop to end because i want everybody to know out there that your spirit your spirit guards are with you but your loved ones are with you every day
SPEAKER_02:they are so again that's that's a whole This is what connecting is about. Helping you to connect with your loved ones of spirit, with your guides, with your angels, connecting with us, Patrick and Kathy.
